Meditation, soul’s ‘oxygen’
Meditation is thousands of years old practise which became globally accepted in recent years for its amazing mind and health benefits apart from spiritual upliftment.
A method commonly followed earlier by sages mostly in Asia, particularly India, it can be defined as a technique to become more aware of your inner-self and the surroundings. It is about connecting to your very core existence and achieving a blissful state of mind.
In today’s modern era, where mankind is suffering from all kinds of psychological issues, insecurities and inadequacies thus culminating into dissatisfaction, depression & sadness, meditation acts like a ‘magic’ pill that can actually cure us from all these ailments. And what’s more, it has no side effects but only positive impact like increased concentration & productivity, optimum health, positive mindset and peace resulting into a happy you! Meditation isn’t really about reaching a particular goal spiritually as many believe but is simply achieving a balanced state in the very moment you are in. There are different techniques to meditate; the most commonly taught is concentrating on your breath which is a beginner’s guide for those newly initiated. Other forms include mindfulness, guided visualization, chakra dhyan, sound meditation, etc. So the next question is which method to follow? It is always enriching to experience these different forms to see which works best for you and use it as a stepping stone to transform yourself with each technique. Meditation is like oxygen to the soul. So if practised everday with consistency it helps us to thrive, prosper and expand our horizons beyond the limited means both in material and spiritual world. Once you get into a habit of meditation, see your overall life change for better!
